There is no doubt that self-discipline can improve our lives, but Jesus describes discipline through an inner, private life that is shaped and developed through learning to trust our heavenly Father at the deepest levels of our existence.

The influence of people we allow close to us is a powerful and yet often unseen force in our development. In the same way, our lives can be a transformational force to make us a people of influence.

Our ability to trust God is directly related to our obedience. These two things are entwined together and are critically important to the growth process. But behind this call to trust Him is the bedrock of His character.
