What would you choose to write in your final letter to someone?

This Sunday, we'll explore Paul's final letter ever written before his execution, the letter of 2 Timothy. In it we will discover what it means to take the message of Jesus personally, so it shapes not just what we believe, but how we love, live, and lead every day.

As we open this powerful book together, we'll find the words of a man who has run his race, kept the faith, and wants to pass on something eternal. His letter reminds us that following Jesus is not merely an idea we agree with, but a life we embody.

The “experts” say that we are about to experience the greatest transfer of wealth from one generation to the next that world has ever seen. In fact here’s exactly what they say; “Gen X and Millennials are set to inherit a staggering $124 trillion in assets over the next 23 years in what many call America's Great Wealth Transfer.”

Although I am or not at all sure you or I will see any of that, I am certain of this, $124 trillion is nothing compared to the transfer made on our behalf over 2,000 years ago!

The real question though is this, will we be faithful to ensure that the message of the Gospel gets transferred to the next generation, or will it die with us?

Even in chains, facing trial and uncertainty, the Apostle Paul found a joy that couldn’t be taken away.

Philippians is often called “The Epistle of Joy” — not just because Paul mentions joy 16 times, but because his own life exemplifies how true joy is rooted in God’s unchanging presence and grace. 

Paul’s message is clear: no adversity, no hardship, no external circumstance can steal the joy we find in Christ. Join us this week as we explore how we, too, can hold onto a joy that remains steadfast — a joy that nothing can take or steal.
