Whenever we read the story of Judas’ betrayal, it is so easy for us to dismiss it utterly from having anything to do with us. ‘I would never betray Jesus,’ we say to ourselves. However, the uncomfortable truth is that the only ones who could possible betray Jesus are those who are first close to him. For that reason alone it makes sense to take a closer look at Luke 22:1-6 and ask ourselves some hard questions about our own loyalty to Jesus and His kingdom.

Jesus - on the other hand - shares 4 big questions we should be asking ourselves to regain our sense of wonder.

Our country is divided over political issues - perhaps more than at anytime since the Civil War. Health Care Insurance. Gun Control. Border Wall. Climate Change. Dreamers. Gender Identity. Even within the church we can react with hostility to brothers and sisters who disagree with us. Is it possible that there is a wicked craftiness behind the scenes that could be responsible for our divisiveness? How should we as Christians respond - especially when we feel our cause to be so right? We learn political wisdom from Jesus as we consider Luke 20:19-26 and 1 Peter 2:13-17.
