You are the biggest marketer for you book. YOU!

How do you market, self-promote, when it's not in your nature?  You have to come to the reality that the book will not move off the shelves, if you don't talk about it. You are the number the one promoter.

If you truly believe that you have a message from God, it doesn't matter what your disposition is,  get the message out to as many people as you can.

Reach out and build a group of family & friends, and ask them if they would be willing to share social media posts and write a review of the book. You have something of value that the Lord has put in your heart, so do all you can to get the word out.

Today we're going to talk about the options available to you for publishing your book.

There is the more traditional option, where a publisher picks up your manuscript and they put it into print. This is the most economical option for the writer because they are putting all the money up front, but that doesn't mean they will do all the marketing for you.

The other option is to self-publish. You can self-publish and then print copies of your book, or the other route is to self-publish, but have a print-on-demand option.

Printing inventory is not budget friendly, not to mention paying for the design, the layout, and the editing, but you do own the rights to your book.

You have to know what your goals are and establish what you are hoping to achieve through the printing of a book, as well as what the best option is for you based on the resources you have.

Where do you start writing a book? The first thing is mental preparedness. Prepare your mind to take action. Make deadlines for "fluid" benchmarks.

Create time blocks. Those blocks could be 30 -60 minutes once-a-week. It could be that you get up one hour earlier everyday to have the margin to do what God has told you.

Mind mapping. Take out a sheet of paper or a white board and write down all words and phrases that come to mind, along with illustrations, stories and statistics. Each of those words or phrases could potentially be a chapter in your book.

If you did these steps, in 3 months you could make a massive dent on the creation of the content for your book. You could have all your chapters outlined. It just depends on the time you allow to work on these three things: Start, Time Block, and Mind mapping.
