Matthew 6:19-34

What was it about the death of Jesus that produced such contrasting effects on its eyewitnesses? How is it that the cross has the power to transform those who gaze intently at the Man hanging there? "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. " - 1 Corinthians 1:18 May God grant us grace to look and ponder the depths of the death and burial of His Son.
