In this week's episode we bring you the second part of Rev. Peppo's address from the Nurture Conference held by Westside Reformed Church in 2022. Having already spoken about why we teach, this address focuses on what we teach.

Why do we teach? Why are Christian fathers motivated toward raising covenant children in the "discipline and instruction of the Lord"? How does Scripture answer the "why" question regarding education? This talk is a recording of the 2022 Nurture Conference sponsored by Westside Reformed Church.

Catechizing children is not merely a task given for official church catechists to carry out - pastors and elders - but also for parents. As Matthew Henry put it, “Public catechizing will turn to little account without family catechizing.” But how do you get squirmy kids to memorize a catechism? How should parents go about catechizing? Are there "tricks of the trade" that can help parents? In this episode, Pastors Zac and Brandon give eleven tips for at-home catechesis.
