We're fast approaching Halloween, and there's no more frightening series for church kids from the '80s and '90s than Mike Flanagan's Midnight Mass, streaming on Netflix now. Vampires, beasties, blood, religious extremists, body horror, twisted theology, and mankind's penchant selfish ambition *shiver*

And lo, the Lord bestowed upon Cinebabble a fun side project: Cinepprentice, a training ground of sorts wherein Ken is joined by an aspiring Gen Z cinephile eager to be introduced to classic films. First up, Wes Anderson's Rushmore and David Fincher's The Social Network, followed by some MCU chat centered around the saga's latest entry: Shang-Chi.

This week our brave Cinebabblers briefly remain in the '90s for a long forgotten segment: Mail Bag (3:10). Underrated '90s movies, overrated '90s movies, movies you'd love to see remade and more.

From there it's a return to the present with James Wan horror flick Malignant (42:00, spoiler alert), Netflix actioner Kate (57:50), and CineTron pick Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar (1:07:50). Closing things out is a fresh spin of the CineTron-3000 (1:19:40).

Our time-splitting Cinebabblers remain in 1994, revisiting True Lies, In the Mouth of Madness, Clifford, and Leon: The Professional. Ah '94... Ken was reaping the rewards of independence after turning 16, Clint was Sega and Nintendo'ing with the best of them, and the CineTron-3000 was but a dream in the farflung land of 2021.

Our time-hopping Cinebabblers revisit an amazing year in film: 1994. Ken had a fresh new driver's license, Clint was looking ahead at his ever-encroaching years in middle school, and the CineTron-3000 was but a floppy disk at the dawn of the internet.
