Cinema Is Life

Is there anywhere this Pokemon game isn't? We touch on it this week since it pretty much permeates every other walk of life. We get to the serious business of breaking down the latest NFL and UFC news as well as give our reviews of Ghostbusters and Secret Life of Pets.

The gang's all here. It's a full house as the guys get together to talk about the last gasps of Deflategate, the week that was in MMA, and the latest new movies including Bryan Cranston's Infiltrator.

Justin drops in for an imprompu films discussion before we head out to watch UFC 200. We talk about Swiss Army Man, Daniel Radcliffe's career moves and Ghostbusters. Two podcasts in the same week! Still free!!! Getcha some.

NOTE: This episode was taped before the announcement of Jon Jones being replaced by Anderson Silva at UFC 200 and before the Ultimate Fight Night: dos Anjos vs Alvarez card took place.

Neal, Lewis and Chris hold it down this week talking about football players asleep at the wheel, a busy week in MMA with four UFC events in 7 days, and the masterfully horrible "Final Deletion" angle from Impact Wresting.

Jam packed this week! We talk about the deaths of Buddy Ryan and Pat Summitt, Andrew Luck's big contract, the deluge of good fights coming up in the UFC, and finish with reviews of the upcoming flicks Free State of Jones, Neon Demon, and Independence Day: Resurgence.

Congrats to the Cavaliers for bringing Cleveland it's first world championship since May. We also talk college football scheduling, arrested athletes getting let off the hook just for playing football at Bama, all the fight news from the weekend and the fallout from the WWE's Money in the Bank event. Plus, who'd win in a fight: King Kong or Godzilla?

Chris and Neal are driving down to Goldsboro, NC for the 50th Turnage Family Reunion. What better way to pass the time than to record a podcast giving our picks and predictions? The sound quality isn't the greatest, but content is content and we had fun recording it. Enjoy!

Six month milestone episode! We discuss the craziness going on in Florida right now, the latest in the NFL, fantasy booking for WWE Money in the Bank, and the "Farting Dead Guy Movie" Swiss Army Man.

It brings us great sadness to announce the passing of our friend, brother and podcast partner Martino Sunglao. He brought so much joy to our lives and we are proud to have a platform to share him with you for however brief that time was. Topics for this week: Ali, Kimbo, Roger Goodell, All-time greatness, LeBron, Brock Lesnar, UFC 200, The Lobster, Dirty Harry

We've got our first interview and it's a good one! Roland Lazenby, author of Michael Jordan: The Life, shares his basketball expertise with us. He sizes up the participants in the NBA finals, details how the game has changed over the years and gives us some insight on some of the league's biggest stars. We follow that up with Baylor's new hire, the WWE's brand split, Neal's UFC betting woes, and Snoop Dogg's opinion of the Roots remake.
