Neal and Justin are back to talk about the latest goings on in the NFL on and off the field, including the new helmet rule and Baylor's 4'2" wide receiver. We cringe at the news of a UFC fighter's horrific power tool accident. In the film segment, Justin pans Mark Wahlberg's latest in Mile 22.

Jeff's back to help break down what we're seeing across the landscape of the football world. Neal gives us the pertinent fight news as we're between UFC events. And Justin reviews four solid flicks and one dud.

Chris and Neal took an impromptu trip to NC but managed to snag a quiet space in the hotel to tape an hour of fight talk. We'll be back to our normal format next week.

The NFL Hall of Fame game signals the return of football and we can't be happier! One person who probably isn't happy right now is Urban Meyer in light of new developments around what he knew about the domestic abuse allegations levied on one of his assistants. Also in the disappointments column is the ratings for UFC on FOX 30 despite a banger of a card. Has over saturation put a cap on the growth of the sport? And Tom Cruise outdoes himself with Mission Impossible: Fallout. Justin thinks this is the best action flick of the summer; that's high praise.

Neal and Justin get together this week to discuss myriad topics across the spectrum of football, fights and films. From UNC's Larry Fedora's publicly doubting the link between football and CTE to Lennox Lewis returning to the boxing ring at 52 years old. Also, reviews of Denzel Washington's Equalizer 2 and the new Robin Williams documentary.

Out with the old and in with the new. This week we give a nod to some of the best players to hang up their pads for good over this NFL offseason. We then look ahead to week 1 of the rapidly approaching college football season and the predictable tweets that will accompany it. From there we move on to discuss three films: the depressing 350 Days, the insane Sorry to Bother You, and the forgettable Skyscraper. Also, did you know there are 639 movies in production that feature the Joker or Robin Hood? We finish off this week’s show with the latest UFC fight recaps, previews and doping news.

Thank goodness for the supplemental draft! Without it, we'd only have depressing football stories of domestic violence and politics to talk about. Fortunately, we do get to discuss the two pickups in the supplemental draft before picking up the landmine-filled craziness that surrounds Shady McCoy. In the fight portion, we contextualize Daniel Cormier's achievement of becoming the second man to hold championships in two weight classes simultaneously. Justin reviews a handful of films including Ant Man and the Wasp then we end on the latest casting controversy involving Scarlett Johanssen.

We’re back after a week away. Football offseason is basically an exercise in guessing how long suspension x is gonna last. So we do a little of that with Jameis Winston and Julian Edelman. Then it’s on to how much money an appearance in the college football playoff can net a coach. Justin and Jeff sink their claws into the new Jurassic film. Neal relays how a guy won a fight over the weekend by groin strike. And no, that’s not legal.

Worlds are colliding on MFFW. Two former NFL players faced off against one another in a UFC cage this week. The NCAA made some huge changes to its redshirt and transfer rules. We run down UFC 225 and review a handful of movies including Oceans 8, Hereditary, Veronica, First Reformed, Kill List and Compulsion.

It's a Neal and Justin two-man show this week. We do our best to acknowledge the NFL's story-that-won't-die-but-should while also finding other talk worthy topics in this offseason void. UFC 225 is this weekend with the best on-paper card of the year so far. Conor McGregor came in at 4 on Forbes' list of highest paid athletes last year, making $99 million in salary and endorsements while not actually competing a single time in the sport that made him famous. With a slow week at the theater, we review Upgrade and a handful of flicks we came across on streaming platforms including Honeymoon, I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House, and Assholes.
