The NFL Hall of Fame game signals the return of football and we can't be happier! One person who probably isn't happy right now is Urban Meyer in light of new developments around what he knew about the domestic abuse allegations levied on one of his assistants. Also in the disappointments column is the ratings for UFC on FOX 30 despite a banger of a card. Has over saturation put a cap on the growth of the sport? And Tom Cruise outdoes himself with Mission Impossible: Fallout. Justin thinks this is the best action flick of the summer; that's high praise.

Thank goodness for the supplemental draft! Without it, we'd only have depressing football stories of domestic violence and politics to talk about. Fortunately, we do get to discuss the two pickups in the supplemental draft before picking up the landmine-filled craziness that surrounds Shady McCoy. In the fight portion, we contextualize Daniel Cormier's achievement of becoming the second man to hold championships in two weight classes simultaneously. Justin reviews a handful of films including Ant Man and the Wasp then we end on the latest casting controversy involving Scarlett Johanssen.

We’re back after a week away. Football offseason is basically an exercise in guessing how long suspension x is gonna last. So we do a little of that with Jameis Winston and Julian Edelman. Then it’s on to how much money an appearance in the college football playoff can net a coach. Justin and Jeff sink their claws into the new Jurassic film. Neal relays how a guy won a fight over the weekend by groin strike. And no, that’s not legal.

Worlds are colliding on MFFW. Two former NFL players faced off against one another in a UFC cage this week. The NCAA made some huge changes to its redshirt and transfer rules. We run down UFC 225 and review a handful of movies including Oceans 8, Hereditary, Veronica, First Reformed, Kill List and Compulsion.

Conor McGregor came in at 4 on Forbes' list of highest paid athletes last year, making $99 million in salary and endorsements while not actually competing a single time in the sport that made him famous. With a slow week at the theater, we review Upgrade and a handful of flicks we came across on streaming platforms including Honeymoon, I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House, and Assholes.
