In 1974 director Tobe Hooper shocked audiences with his film about a group of young adults who unwillingly find a family of cannibals while vacationing in Texas. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was violent, brutal and had an almost snuff like vibe about it. The sequel came out in 1986 and it has a much more comic vibe to it, but is it still good. Listen to The Vern's thoughts on a movie that is very much a statement on capitalism as it is a gory horror feature.

A while back I was asked to be on The Lair of the Unwanted Podcast to do a script read of Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space. After wards, I took the audio file and added in sound effects and music and the end result is what you have now before you.

Today's episode is a real trip. The Vern is joined by Ryan L Terry of https://rlterryreelview.com/ to discuss both Valley of the Dolls(1967) and Beyond The Valley of the Dolls(1970) What do both movies have in common? They each tell a story of women who come to Hollywood and get caught up with fame and drugs. They both are available on the Criterion Collection and each are deserving as being a part of our cult movie club. It's a really fun show that we know you will enjoy.
