Melanie Oliveiro speaks with writer, educator and researcher Ben Slater who’ll be presenting the fourth edition of the Cinema Reclaimed programme for Singapore HeritageFest 2024. Titled “Dream Palaces” and held over four weekends at different heritage cinemas and theatres, Slater will discuss the chosen movies that’ll be screened and the various talks - concerning the history of Singapore on film - that’ll accompany the screenings.
