  • Cinema Royale Hits the Seas For BAYWATCH and PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5!
Just who rules the ocean, anyway? Is it Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in the big screen comedy remake, BAYWATCH? Or does Johnny Depp still command the helm with PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES? We'll be joined by Cinema Clash co-host Hannah Buchdahl to find out which one wins, and which is all wet.

Plus news on NEW MUTANTS, Marvel's Silver Sable/Black Cat crossover, Justice League Dark, Justice League, and...damn! Is everything about superheroes this week or what? Oh wait, there's some stuff on TOP GUN 2, also. There, breakin' the log jam!

So tune in and join me for another great episode of Cinema Royale!

  • Cinema Royale Reviews 'Snatched', 'King Arthur: Legend of the Sword'
We've got a special guest this week that I guarantee will actually be here! (Just messin' with ya, Matt Razak!)  Joanna Langfield of The Movie Minute joins me because I think she's got a beef with SNATCHED, the new comedy from Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn. And I'm dying to know what she thought of KING ARTHUR: LEGEND OF THE SWORD and if it's the film that makes Charlie Hunnam a superstar, or just another actor in a failed franchise.

Plus news on Martin Scorsese's THE IRISHMAN, developments on NEW MUTANTS, a new HELLBOY movie, and much more

On this week's Cinema Royale we'll be cranking up the Sony Walkman and grooves to Marvel's GUARDIAN OF THE GALAXY Vol. 2! Matthew Razak of Flixist.com joins me to talk about the latest adventure with Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and....awwwwww, lookit Baby Groot!!! Does it measure up to the surprisingly awesome first movie? Does it set up AVENGERS: INFINTIY War? Are there really five post-credits scenes?

  • Cinema Royale Takes Aim At Ben Wheatley's FREE FIRE
If an insane shootout like the one in Ben Wheatley's FREE FIRE ever broke out among critics, you can bet me and Joblo.com's Chris Bumbray would make it out alive. We bad like that, and it's also why he's the only one allowed on this episode of Cinema Royale to talk Wheatley's film starring Brie Larson, Cillian Murphy, Armie Hammer, and Sharlto Copley.

Plus, we'll take THE PROMISE with Terry George's historical drama starring Oscar Isaac, Christian Bale, and Charlotte Le Bon.  It's a film that's already being projected to lose a bundle, and we'll tell you whether it deserves to or not.

All this plus news on CAPTAIN MARVEL, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 3, and more!

  • Cinema Royale Rides With 'The Fate Of The Furious', That Star Wars Trailer Tho!!
Today, we live our lives a quarter mile a minute, or something like that, because it's time to strap in for The Fate of the Furious! In this one, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson stop their man beef long enough to shred tires against a nuclear-powered Charlize Theron, reprising her role from Mad Max: Fury Road! Well, that last part isn't true but what if it was? Would you even care? You'd totally believe it because ANYTHING can happen in these movies! And that's why we love them, and it's also why I had to invite F&F superfan Julian Lytle to join me!

And if you thought for one SECOND that I wouldn't talk about that Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer, you've got a kiber crystal up your butt. We'll be talking that trailer, the latest on Carrie Fisher's future in the franchise, and everything coming out of Star Wars Celebration. Wouldn't it be nice to be broadcasting from there right now? >sigh

  • Cinema Royale is GIFTED and GOING IN STYLE; GHOST IN THE SHELL Fallout
On this week's Cinema Royale, we are certified G's! Chris Evans proves that even without his shield and an injection of Super Soldier serum he can still be a hero in GIFTED, the new film from The Amazing Spider-Man director, Marc Webb! Plus, Zach Braff makes a non-emo indie flick for once with GOING IN STYLE, starring Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, and Alan Arkin as three grumpy old men who decide to rob a bank.

All of this, plus news on GHOST IN THE SHELL and some of the fallout from its opening weekend; the future of THE EXPENDABLES franchise is seriously in doubt, and much much more.

I'll be joined by fellow Punch Drunk Critic John Armstrong because he's the only one of us to have seen everything this week! Just kidding, he's brilliant. Tune in and enjoy the show!

On a special Cinema Royale episode, I had the chance to sit down with one of my favorite directors (and you can hear it in my voice), Niki Caro, about her new film, The Zookeeper's Wife. We talked about her work on the holocaust drama, the challenges of living up to the material, and of course Jessica Chastain's way with the animals on set!

  • Cinema Royale gets Morphin' with POWER RANGERS, Rips Terrence Malick's New Film
Go go Power Rangers!!  Because I don't know what the difference is between a Yellow Ranger and a Red Ranger, I'm enlisting some help for this week's review of Power Rangers! Jeff Lyles of Lyles' Movie Files will chime in, and hopefully he can explain what's up with this reboot of the popular TV series that featured kids doing martial arts against guys in rubber monster suits.

Plus, my thoughts on Terrence Malick's new film, Song to Song, and why I think he's the most overrated director ever. Finally, we'll have DVDs, movie news, and plenty more on this week's show!
