Cinema Swap

Have you ever watched a movie and thought, "Huh, these main characters are sort of boring, but these side characters are awesome and should have their own movie"? Us too! We decided to take a look at some side characters that we thought deserved their own story, maybe even more so than the actual main characters. Let us know what you think and send your picks to @cinemaswap on social media.

This week on the show, we are joined by writer and podcaster, Robin LeBlanc to recast the batshit crazy Super Marios Bros movie from the 90s. This movie is bad, but we have a lot to chat about, especially when the original cast was so darn good! If you like Mario games, this movie is not for you. If you like movies, this movie is not for you. If you like our episode... this movie might be for you! Check out Robin's excellent writing online and her wonderful show, The Ontario Craft Beer Guide Podcast.

This week on the show, we reflect upon our old Top Gun recasting and compare it to the fantastic new sequel, Top Gun: Maverick! We watched both movies in the same night and have lots of thoughts about both high flying films. Major spoiler alert for anyone who hasn't seen the new movie yet.

This week on the show, we chat about places and locations from movies that would make terrible vacation spots! From lava planets to boring small towns, we discuss a number of locations from some of our favourite movies that would be awful if you wanted a little R&R. Let us know which places from films you would never want to go visit.

This week on the show, we're talking about villains. Specifically, six villains we would put together to form an evil super team. We choose bad guys (and gals) from movies, comics and TV to create a pair of squads most foul. Also, it gets very silly.
