Welcome to the first episode of Cinemates, where hosts Jake and Mike take a deep dive into all things cinema. Featuring two full-time hosts and a revolving door of guests, Cinemates promises to take an honest and entertaining look into the newest TV Shows and Films in a new golden age of cinema era.
In Episode One, the hosts digest whatever the heck TV put out with The Idol - the newest and sexy (?) HBO show created by Abel 'The Weeknd' Tesfaye and Sam Levinson (Euphoria). The two go over what they liked (spoilers: not a lot!) and why exactly the show is NOT hitting just one episode in.
Elsewhere, Jake surprises Mike that the Borderlands movie is somehow a thing, and tells him who's in the cast.
The show ends with Jake giving Mike his top 10 movies of the year so far, and tries to convince him that the superhero genre is very much alive, while giving you and him his must watch movie of the week!
