This week we leap to our first horror movie through composer Marco Beltrami who also worked on Live Free or Die Hard. This is our first horror film of the podcast and one of Scott's favourites. A lot to talk about with this film, which was a big deal in 1996 when it was released, rejuvenating the horror genre. Does it hold up? We discuss this and more this episode and hope you enjoy.

This episode we leap with Mary Elizabeth Winstead who plays the daughter of Bruce Willis in Die Hard 4.0 (also know as Live Free or Die Hard). Can a 4th Die Hard film be as good as the others? Welcome to season 2! This week we leap to Baby Driver through director Edgar Wright. A fun way to start season 2. Action packed and fast paced. Hope you stick with us for a new season of Cinematic Leap. 

We did it! We got through a whole season of episodes, rambling our way through many films, some good, some great, some absolutely terrible. But it was fun. This bonus episode we discuss the season, what we learnt, what we would do differently and how the podcast will evolve as we head into season 2 (including inviting the occasional special guest to join us).

For Mike's third leap we head to 2007 Edgar Wright classic Hot Fuzz. Lots of action, lots of comedy, lots of mysterious accidents (or are they murders?) We leapt here somehow through systems engineer Rodrigo Bernardo.

This week we leap to Mike's second film choice, 2014 epic sci-fi Interstellar. We leapt here through Matthew McConaughey who is fast becoming a Cinematic Leap favourite.

Number one on our all time top 5 movie podcasts is clearly this one, not only because this week we leap to 2000 music drama (comedy?) High Fidelity starring John Cusack and Jack Black, but also because we had a lot of fun making it! Glenn's third film of his three leaps. Not sure this will be in the top 5 films we've reviewed this season, although Glenn certainly thinks it should be up there.
