Cinematic Savants

The Savant Boys are back from holiday break! This week we're covering the holiday special for Guardians of the Galaxy released on Disney+, Will Smith's appearance of The Daily Show, the lowest box office weekend in the last 30 years, Kevin Spacey getting work after his legal victory, and standing ovations to the underrated Craig Robinson and up and coming screenwriter Niece Anderson.

The Savants are on holiday break, but we couldn't leave our fans hanging, so this week we're giving some behind the scenes audio that didn't make the cut. Hope you enjoy and be safe this holiday season.

This week we're reviewing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. This latest Marvel release gave audiences a lot to cheer for but how does it hold up with The Savants? We also review the newest release on HBO Max, Don't Worry Darling, directed by Olivia Wilde. We look ahead to Avatar: Way of the Water.

The time has finally arrived.......Black Panther: Wakanda Forever releases this week and we're giving our final thoughts on what to expect of this big release, from cameos, new Black Panther theories, and if Chadwick Boseman would approve of a replacement. Will this be the box office savior the movie industry has made it out to be? Can it surpass the first Black Panther? Also, the savants keep it light on topics of Halle Berry and her child support payments as well as Matthew Perry dragging Keanu Reeves' name through the mud with his memoir that just released. Enjoy the convo this week!

We begin the show by saying Rest in Peace to Takeoff, member of the rap group Migos, who was tragically killed in Houston over the weekend. We finally give our reviews of Black Adam starring The Rock. Was it worth the hype or just another DC dud? Tommy goes on a rant about Kanye West and Kevin Hart about where they are in their careers and what's next for both.

We're back to our regular format to catch up on some cinema news and upcoming movies. Halloween Ends comes out this Friday on Peacock, but will it end in a good way or miss the landing? Is Black Adam going to give movie theaters the boost it needs or are we looking at a incoming bomb?

Halloween season is finally here and the Savants are celebrating with their top 5 horror films as well as top 5 most ridiculous things in horror films. We brought in a special guest to help celebrate.

The Savants bring you a special edition episode this week......What was the best year of cinema? Shawn makes a strong case for 1984, Ryan fights for 1999, and Tommy stands his ground with 1997. Who will win this debate?

This week we look back at the Emmy awards and recap the winners and the controversy surrounding Jimmy Kimmel. We look ahead to The Woman King, releasing Friday. Shawn and Tommy recap season 5 of Cobra Kai.
