Who doesn't like a good Western? After our conversation last time about The Yellow Light Trilogy we were intrigued by another community proclaimed trilogy referred to as the 2007 Western Trilogy (There Will Be Blood, No Country For Old Men, and The Assassination of Jesse James). Tune in and grab some popcorn as we discuss the trilogy that delves into the darkest elements of America, old and new. We also saw Jackass 4 and Netflix's All of Us Are Dead, which turned out to be a pretty great Korean zombie show.

(Correction: In the podcast I say I saw There Will Be Blood in 2007 but it turns out it was in 2008. The film was released in December 2007, so it took time for its DVD release. I remembered later that the Halo tournament was in 2008 so I had to be wrong so, my apologies.   - Fortune)

Projects discussed in order: Jackass 4, Netflix's All of Us Are Dead, There Will Be Blood, The Assassination of Jesse James, and No Country For Old Men

Sometimes Reddit REALLY comes through, especially in this case. The Yellow Light trilogy was nicknamed, we think, by a couple of people on reddit years ago. It consists of three movies that aren't actually a trilogy, but feel like they could be, and they feature crime neo noir plots with Los Angeles lights painting the background every step of the way. These lights help inform the cinematography, hence The Yellow Light Trilogy (Drive, Nightcrawler, and Collateral). Join us as we delve into these three wonderful films and boil down which one of them is our favorite.

Films Discussed: Collateral, Drive, Nightcrawler, and Guillermo Del Toro's Nightmare Alley

In our first episode of SEASON 2 we dove into the Scream horror film franchise since the new film, Scream 5, hits theaters this Friday. We decided to re-watch all four of the scream films in order to prepare for the new movie. Wes Craven really brought this series to life so though we are excited about the new film, it's interesting to see where it will go now that he has unfortunately passed away. Join us as we delve into the Scream films, which re-defined what horror movies were in the late 90's. One of us is also COMPLETELY obsessed with these films...we'll let you guess which one of us it is.

We accidentally said episode 15 in the intro when it's actually 14, oopsie.

Subjects Discussed: Scream, Scream 2, Scream 3, Scream 4, Scream (2022) and director Wes Craven

The scream franchise stars: Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, David Arquette, Matthew Lillard, Skeet Ulrich, Rose McGowan, Jamie Kennedy, Timothy Olyphant, Scott Foley, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and many more actors...
