In his dogged pursuit of truth and the transformative power of pop culture, CINTEGRITY Media's Cory Stillman recently ventured to his local multiplex in search of an ancient yellow species known to mankind as the “Minions.”

Indeed, in its surprising excavation of Hollywood history, Minions & Monsters has opened itself up to an entirely new audience, even as it may have lost its core demographic of TikTok-brained youngins. And so it was Cory's duty as your loyal cultural interpreter to check the film out for himself and report back on both its successes and its failures. Is this a sign of a franchise’s newfound sense of purpose, or an omen of an industry ignorant of its past?

CINTEGRITY’s Cultural Decay screening/lecture series continues with a discussion of Jordan Peele’s 2022 film Nope, which shares considerable DNA with the first film in our series, Steven Spielberg’s 2026 release Disclosure Day.
