Why the Church Addresses Relationships

• The church addresses relationships because God cares about every aspect of your life, and poor relationship decisions can derail your spiritual growth.

• The church’s role is to equip you in all areas of life.

• It is important to be discipled by the church rather than the world.

• The world’s mentorship in love often leads to insecurity and romanticizes drama.

📌Dangers of Wrong Relationships

• Marrying the wrong person can take the mercy of God to recover from.

• A spouse can negatively influence your life and legacy.

• Examples include Jezebel, who used her position for evil, and Solomon, whose life was negatively impacted by marrying foreign women.

• A bad relationship can undo all the spiritual work done in a person’s life.

📌How God Leads in Relationships

• Direct Leading: This can include visions, dreams, and continuous signs pointing to a specific person.

o Even when God shows you someone, you must still discern what to call the relationship.

• Sociocultural Norms: This is the most common way God leads.

o Attraction is often based on societal norms and values.

o You are more likely to marry someone within your social circles – church, work, friends.

The Lord directs the steps of the Godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Psalms 37:23 NLT

📌 How does the Lord order your steps?

1. The direct method: when he specifically tells you to do something through word, visions, dreams

Most Christians have serious expectations for the leading of God.

2. The indirect leadings of God

How are you as a Christian led by the spirit?

How can you make decisions by the leading of the spirit?

How does the spirit of the Lord lead?

The indirect leading of the Lord:

Coincidences, desires, gifts and opportunities

These are the things God uses to lead us.

📌God is able to influence even chance

So sometimes, take a chance trusting that God will influence it The natural coincidences of my life that are orchestrated by God himself.

📌 For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

One of the things that the Holy Ghost does when he comes into someone’s life, he takes that man’s desires and channels it for God’s will

God can influence your ambitions.

Focus right is knowing what to do, how to do it and what you need to do.

📌It is very easy to deral from purpose.

📌 Ambition without purpose is a distraction ,ambition itself is not a problem, however lack of purpose corrupts ambition.

📌 when you try to focus any little distraction can break your focus.

📌 the voices you allow will either distract your focus or push it forward.

📌 Renew your mind’ change the way you think

📌 Eliminate unnecessary weight

📌 Use Prayer as a reset button

- A way to bring glory to God is by doing something that magnifies and glorifies the name of the lord

- A strong way to bring glory to God is by doing things excellently

- In this year, walk with the consciousness that we have a God that evaluates our actions

- We bring glory to God when the systems he set in place work, when they operate as it should.

- God’s will is first discerned through the order of life by the creator

- The order of life dictates that productivity must precede personal satisfaction

- Giving glory to God means, working legally

- Giving Glory to God means, eating healthy

- Opportunities Favour the prepared.
