With over 4,000 players, they’ve created a community that really values what they’re offering.

Justin Knepp is the Founder and Managing Partner of Indiana On Tap, which is an Indiana craft beer media marketing and events company that started in 2014. Growing up in a small, southern Indiana town and attending a small, private liberal arts college, craft beer was never on Justin’s radar until one of his friends turned him into a fan in 2013. Michaela Runkle is a domestic violence survivor who started writing memoirs about her experience which ended up becoming a book called Dear World. She had trouble finding relatable resources to help her cope and recover mentally from the incident so her goal with Dear World is to be open and tell her story to let other young survivors know that there’s someone who understands what they’re going through and that they’re not alone.

In the first half of this episode, you’ll hear Michaela tell us her story, talk about both the good and the bad of how her friends and family reacted when she told them that she had been a victim of domestic violence, and the mechanisms that she’s put in place to help her move past the incident and feel confident and strong.

Eric is the former President & CEO of the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis.

He started going to the Y when he was in high school, became an executive director of a branch at 22 years-old and worked for the organization for 42 years. He has a long list of accomplishments during that time including doubling the number of Greater Indianapolis Y members, nearly doubling the association’s annual budget, and doubled the number of locations. And he’s still working on projects with the Y in his retirement.

Chelsy Winters looks a little young to have the words “Senior Director” in her job title, but her dedication the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis and community health initiatives over the past 10 years proves that she deserves the title. She told us that her job as Senior Director of Community Health for the Y is perfect for her as it allows her to use her analytical skills and apply it to a business setting for the greater good.
