About Talk: Gwen noted that it’s hard to hang on to our faith in Jesus. It’s hard to hang on to ourselves in Christ (as saved / healed / victorious) because our brains are hard-wired for negativity and fear in order to ensure our survival as a species. We naturally remember what hurts us, what threatens us, and what to avoid. Our brains do not remember the good unless we work at it (faith!) She suggested noticing and elongating the moments of goodness in our lives in order to re-wire our brains. (Neuroplasticity proves that this is possible! We can re-train our brains!)
