Citizen Power

In this episode of the podcast series, Barsha and Mon share their personal stories and experiences of intergenerational conflict with their families and community. They also explore their lived experience further through the intersectional lens, dissecting the impacts of intergenerational conflict across race, culture, gender and caste. Listening to this episode will give you an insight into an experience of young people navigating conflict whilst acknowledging trauma endured by their previous generations.

‘I think one of the reasons that Nepal, well maybe the refugee camps we both lived in, were culturally rich, was… I think because of our poverty, and this is not to undermine the strength of Nepalese/Bhutanese culture in binding people together’.
