  • 26. Shadowlands Class Changes Are Coming (Part II)

Chris and Rafe are back with a look at the changes coming to the bulk of the class changes coming in Shadowlands and we're asking a lot of questions as we look at them: have casters not gotten as much attention or just not gotten balanced yet? What will Blizzard have to do to make mages more appealing? What should Rafe play as a Vulpera? The biggest discovery over the course of this conversation, however, is how often the description of the class is now that it's "fun". More Shadowlands changes are coming and we hope the fun continues to be a part of them!

  • Podcast Update

Hey all - no new episode this week, but I (Rafe) did want to give an update as to what's going on with the show. As you may have seen, I announced last week some changes were coming on our various social media accounts, and then one of those changes was also announced, so this week I'm giving a brief update about where the show stands and where we are currently thinking things will go. As always, we welcome your feedback through the various channels listed below.

  • 25. Shadowlands Class Changes Are Coming (Part I)

The Shadowlands Alpha has not only brought an expansion of new content, but another opportunity to tweak, change, or alter classes and specializations. This week we begin diving into the over-arching changes being made to the classes, starting with druids, paladins, and monks (because those are the ones we play as mains). We invite you to contact us ([email protected]) with your own reactions to class changes you play as mains as we dive into the rest of the class changes next week.

Despite our predictions last week, the Shadowlands Alpha was not only announced, but has already opened and brought with it a flood of information about the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion. This week we sift through the new information and talk about everything from the first zone and covenant to the class changes that have us excited to the updated leveling experience. Make sure to let us know your thoughts about this overwhelming amount of information on social media as we continue to follow the development of Shadowlands!

  • 23. Looking at the Stories of Battle for Azeroth

While Battle for Azeroth may have many things that can be criticized, the storytelling is not among them. This week we look at some of the overarching stories from the expansion, from Sylvanas's villany to Saurfang's search for honor to Jaina Proudmore's haunted past. We dig into some aspects of the War Campaign on both Alliance and Horde sides, so be warned you may want to finish the post-Ny'alotha stories before hearing the last part of the episode.

  • 22. A Mountain of Mounts

This week we turn our attention to mounts. Some are easy to get, some are not, but you'll want to try to get them all as you work toward achievements like "Mountain of Mounts" and "A Horde of Hoofbeats." We give you our take on how to find some of the more interesting ones. We also talk about Legacy Loot rules, the possibility of Classic Burning Legion, and podcast reviews in this week's episode.

  • 21. What the Hell?

Blizzard managed to ignite interest in all of their major games this week with an expansion announcement (Hearthstone), a new hero announcement (Overwatch), and a major XP buff (World of Warcraft). It's a good thing too, because we certainly could use all of the distractions we can get given the current "social distance" atmosphere of the world. We talk about all of these things, and more, as we ask the question, "What the hell?"
