Madeline has applied for and been deemed eligible for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) despite having a manageable disability. She is not being given adequate living expenses by the government, and can't continue to live as she doesn't have access to necessary treatments to manage her disability, or live in Vancouver. Madeline wants to live, but there are many barriers to getting funding to live, such as lack of research into her medical condition. She has been gracious enough to sit down and share her story and the inadequacies the Canadian government has when it pertains to supporting the community of those with disabilities.
