CiTR -- CabaRadio

Tonight on CabaRadio we would like to extend the Thanksgiving wknd by one day so that we can celebrate and give thanks to music that has made a difference in our lives. Teddy & E-Rock have hand selected 5 songs each that have made an important and significant impact in their lives.
Plus we'll throw in a few Thanksgiving songs to have some fun.

Also on the program, one of our favourite regulars is back! Franklin T Schneider returns with another edition of "Franklin T Schneider's Theatre Review"! Frank is the ultimate voice of theatre and we love talking to him on CabaRadio because he always sheds new and important light on the world of theatre and cabaret.

Plus tonight we are giving away free tickets to the Rio Theatre's exclusion premiere of Spike Jones' "Where the Wild things are" playing this Thursday at 11:55pm...so tune in to win!

As always we'll have upcoming events and a few surprises!

That tonight on CabaRadio

TONIGHT:

On tonight's episode of CabaRadio, a special treat, as one of our listeners is picking the playlist! It's our 2nd edition of "You pick the playlist!"

Many of you have expressed interest in being on radio and here at CabaRadio we thought we would help that dream come true by creating a special show where in fact the entire music selection is made by you...the listener! Their are some rules like you have to play 35% Canadian Content, the list must include some female content and the songs must tell a story of why you are picking them. Other than that it's all up to you and where you want to take us on this magical, musical journey!

If you would like to be a part of a show like this in the future contact CabaRadio at [email protected] with the subject line "I want to pick CabaRadio's playlist"

On tonight's show CabaRadio listener Seanic Boom is planning a cover to cover edition of "You Pick the Playlist!. Sean show us how some songs we know from today were actually hits a long time ago, only most of us have never known that. Tonight however we will learn!
So tune in for a night of music, picked by one of you...the listener!

Plus Upcoming events and a few other surprises!

That's all tonight!

Vancouver is known for many things; weed, beautiful people, weed, the outdoors, weed and of course our love of the gays! So it should come as no surprise that Vancouver will be one the first places to not only celebrate being gay but have a Hall of Fame as well.
On Saturday September 19th, 2009, the Westin Bayshore Hotel in downtown Vancouver will be the place to be and be seen. The CIBC Pride Network and Qmunity have teamed up to present the first annual Q-Ball, a formal, red carpet, black tie gala fundraiser for Qmunity.
The Q Hall of Fame will recognize those that have made significant contributions to the struggle for human rights and full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered Canadians.

And tonight on CabaRadio will be talking to one of the organizers of the Q Ball who will be studio to talk about why this event is so important and why it not only involves the queer community but the hetero one as well.

As always upcoming event, groovy tunes and a few surprises!
