CiTR -- Folk Oasis

Tonight's Folk Oasis is populated by devils, ghosts, hellhounds and various other goblins...listen at your peril...
Have a safe and happy Hallowe'en. And to our fine feathered American friends - good luck on Nov. 4!

All kinds of new releases tonight, including the outstanding new Old Crow Medicine Show CD. Balanced with some classic Neil Young vinyl. Mellow vibes sent out despite (or because of?) yesterday's election results.. Peace and love, everyone, and I'll see you in two weeks' time! Off to see Neil next Wed. @ The Garage!

Still hazy from my trip to Cali-for-ni-a but pulled together a good show, if I may say.. Surprise 'drive-by' studio visit from Tippy Agogo and Bill Bourne, who are playing at the Railway Club Oct. 12. A little bye-bye set to GW Bush, and on that note: please don't forget to vote Oct. 14, my fellow Canadians!

peace 'n luv, val

Thru the wonders of wireless technology, I am setting up this podcast from my lovely little hotel rm in San Francisco! Heather Kitching of CiTR's "Queer FM" filled in for me this week, I'm certain beyond a doubt she did a great job.. I believe she'll be interviewing Michael Jerome Browne on this show.
Thanks for listening and I'll see you next week!

August is almost over - time for another edition of Seattle's fine fine festival, Bumbershoot! Every artist on this week's show will be playing live at Bumbershoot this weekend (and a few of them will drift north for a gig or two as well).
Party hearty and play safe this long weekend.
Happy Labo(u)r Day, all!
