In Mark 4, this theme of division continues as Jesus teaches the parable of the sower, illustrating how different hearts receive the Word of God. Some hearts are hard, others shallow or divided, and only those with receptive hearts bear lasting fruit. Jesus's parables, then, serve as both a revelation to those who seek God and a stumbling block to those who resist, highlighting the truth that the same gospel that enlightens one soul may harden another. The question Jesus poses to us is this: how will we respond?
