CityChurch turned ten years old on January 26th. As part of the Anniversary Celebration, Pastor Troy pressed pause on the New Rules of Resolution series to bring a special message from his heart, sharing with us the things God has taught him through CityChurch.

For the Tenth Anniversary Celebration, CityChurch held a special Sunday evening service. Our founding pastor, Jason Delgado, returned from Columbus, MS where he is currently pastoring , to share a special message that God laid on his heart for CityChurch.

So often we make commitments to God that we will "try" harder, only to fall flat on our faces. In part three of The New Rules of Resolution, Pastor Troy teaches us how the Christian life is not about trying harder but training harder.

Many Christians fall prey to an achievement mindset that tells them they have to earn God's love, forgiveness, acceptance and approval. But the truth is our faith is not about achieving something for God, but receiving something from Him. And the beautiful thing is, when we receive, He then empowers us to achieve what we never could have on our own.

Thankfully, Colossians 2:6-7 share with us powerful truths that, if we let them, will truly change the way we change.
