Ever wonder what exactly the city of Madison’s Urban Design Commission does? They took up that very question in a special presentation last week to the city’s Plan Commission.

What began as an update of their design code turned to the philosophy of development oversight – in a time when the city is deeply interested in making it easier to build more housing.
