I met up with Dean last minute the weekend storm Eunice and storm Dudley where ripping through Birmingham an we discussed our old workplace and how he ended up there at the right time to meet me, moving on to discovering the rave scene together, how smoking weed for 4 years effected him personally and arguing over a television show that may or may not of existed where Orangutans and Chimps are Italian gangsters.

One of the most important people in my life, my own Nan Joyce, sits down with me to talk about what Birmingham was like for her when she was growing up through little stories, such has nearly being abducted by a paedophile, narrowly avoiding TB and smoking newspapers.

Listen to find out where the name higher powers comes from and what it means to him personally, how going jail was actually the best thing for him in many ways and led to a path of becoming a Personal trainer. We also discuss diet, the worst and best places he's lived and why, how technology changed community an what can be done within community's to prevent young adults going down a path that leads to loss of time.

Barbs is an old friend from a telesales job i had a few years ago so we start off reminiscing on the window industry and he tells us how he got started and then worked his way up to, we also hear his first hand account of being hospitalised with Covid in heartlands hospital and he bravely tells us unfortunate experiences he and his family have been through with the virus and the pandemic in general but its important to stay poitive  by trying to keep busy leading to how he found crypto and forex trading and what the future holds. 

This months episode I met up with Henney (AKA James) for a catch up on how he fell into a career that he loves by accidental circumstances, what it was like going to university in Salford and the contrast between Birmingham and Manchester (what the hells a barm?), Joining a Rowing team, Hating Tamworth and most importantly eating arachnids. 

I'm pleased to announce the first guest who's not originally from here but decided Birmingham with the city is for him. Together we look at why he decided to settle here as well as discuss geographical and cultural differences between London and Birmingham sprinkled with a couple of funny story's and a reading of the poem "Cornwall" from Bens recent book; 41 poems: a lockdown therapy.

So this month I meet with Tom for a slightly longer episode than normal who tells some funny story's about men who drive white vans telling white lies, gives us an insight into being a vegan in and outside Birmingham as well as what its been like working on upcoming independent film "Out of Anger" before wrapping up with a discussion centred around the police looking at do and does it actually benefit our community's?

The first ever female to appear on the show is Rachel and in the episode we discuss how tragedy's and trauma's leave big impacts on children their whole lives, find out what it was like growing up as a goth in Birmingham, as well as talk about the positives and negatives in moving from a lower class area to middle class area.
