Bend 2030 are sponsoring a series of community conversations about Bend's governance structure and how Bend

City Councilors and Mayor are elected.

Professional

brewers gathered in Bend for a conference that discussed sustainable

brewery practices end included a tour of our drinking water intake facility

and wastewater treatment plant.

 

The Streets Department has been busy this Summer working on street repair and repaving projects all over town. We just rebuilt the Franklin Avenue / 8th-9th Street roundabout in concrete, too. Here are the details!

Reducing

our energy consumption and carbon footprint has been a long standing goal the

City of Bend.  Here are a few ways that

we are addressing climate change.

City of Bend utility crews

are regularly checking water mains and connections to business and residential

customers, looking for leaks in the system to preserve our valuable water

resource.

Bend Fire & Rescue is

offering free, hands-only CPR classes to the public every first Wednesday of the month.  This is your opportunity to learn this

valuable lifesaving technique.

Bend's newest roundabout is open at the intersection of Murphy and Parrell, making the intersection safer and better connecting the City's overall transportation system.

The

Bend City Council is allocating $1.592 million from the Affordable Housing fund

to help build affordable workforce housing in Bend.  Here are the details!

 

27th Street, between Reed Market

Road and Neff Road, is the site of an extended sewer line project. The City

will bury new sewer pipe up to 30 feet deep under this very busy

thoroughfare.  Check it out!

Third

Street is one of the most dangerous streets for pedestrians in Bend. In the

coming months, the City will rebuild sidewalks, curbs and ADA compliant curb

ramps along a 1.2-mile stretch of road between Wilson Avenue and Powers Road. Take a look!
