Kings think about war very differently than those who soldier.  To lead an army into battle is very different than just being part of the battle.  David led, as a king.  He, being in the battle, made a difference.  So did he not being in the battle.  It made a difference on the battlefield and it made a difference in his life.  When he chose, for whatever reason, to be off of the battlefield when it was the time to be on the battlefield David became something that God never intended: an adulterer, a deceiver, and a murderer.  Is it possible we are off the battlefield when we should be on it?  Could we avoid so many calamities in life if we just get on the battlefield?  Brian Higbee talks about the War of Kings.  Check it out.  

From early in the morning, the Lord began to speak that He was about to minister something never before ministered to CityChurch.  And He did.
