Two of our fellow CityDAO citizens join us on today's episode: DenverCitizen9 and MayurMistra. For this episode, we are focusing on a very special topic, which is Parcel 0. We are also going to talk about the Network State and the next step toward the Network State approach. Both our guests will share their own unique perspectives and insight about what Parcel 0 is for them. Parcel 0 is the first parcel owned by CityDAO. It is 42 acres of undeveloped land located near Cody, Wyoming, US. Parcel 0 NFT represents governance token for Parcel0, collectively Parcel 0 NFT holders can vote to decide on what happens to Parcel 0.
Here with us today on our CityDAO Podcast is Carl Youngblood, who is currently spending his vacation in Madrid, Spain. Our CityDAO Podcast episode today focuses on women in crypto. We welcome our guests Juliette Chevalier and Denise Schaefer, Co-Founders of Surge. Concerned by the lack of participation from women within the crypto space, Juliette and Denise decided to build a community with one goal in common: to help each other grow.
Software Engineer and programming teacher, Juliette works as a Developer Advocate at Aragon, helping engineers build the future of work through DAOs. She and Denise met online through a Web3 online course, and have been building Surge remotely ever since.
Marketing, branding, NFT-enthusiast, Denise came up with the idea for this project after diving into a self-educating crypto journey. She realized the capabilities of Web3 and became passionate about making it more accessible to women everywhere.
Welcome back, this is your host @memebrains and today is a very different CityDAO podcast episode because CityDAO just provided an official testimony to the Wyoming blockchain committee in an annual committee meeting. This is relevant to every CityDAO citizen since this is representing the voice of the community in an official legislative capacity. This is about bridging the gap between the decentralized online world and the real world. The gap between Web3 and the 'real world' shrinks every time people step up to open communication streams. Check out the CityDAO Testimony to the Wyoming State Blockchain Committee with @scott, @memebrains, @chris et al.
For this CityDAO podcast episode, we have Andrew Hitchcock as our special guest. Andrew has a project called Montanoso wherein he bought 21 acres of land outside Austin, Texas in order to build a village DAO. We will talk to him about this awesome crypto co-operative project in the heart of Texas Hill Country. We will also know more about his plans for this village DAO, his views on physical land governance, and so much more.
Montanoso is an experiment in crypto governance. They are creating a traditional village surrounded by a managed ecosystem and they aim to promote crafts, arts, and intellectual development. The plan is to build a dense village on top of a hill, inspired by towns such as Monteriggioni. The buildings will be semi-traditional designs and made from long-lasting materials. They will experiment with generative design in collaboration with craftspeople and artisans. Currently, Andrew is looking for long-term residents who are aligned with the vision of building and living in a traditional town.
