In this week's sermon, Ricky walks through Matthew 17:1-13, when Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James and John. Moses and Elijah appear next to Jesus, representing his fulfillment of the Law and the Prophets from the Old Testament. While Moses and Elijah reflected the glory of God, Jesus is the exact expression of God's glory! God's glory came down and touched mankind, therefore we respond by listening and looking to him for our lives.

In this week's sermon on Matthew 16:13-28, elder board member Eric Knoll walks through Peter's confession of the Messiah, Jesus's death and resurrection predicted and how we must take up our cross to follow Jesus. Jesus is the Son of the Living God—the key of spiritual birth, faith, salvation and forgiveness—with whom we can have a relationship. Our relationship with him looks like a hunger for God's Word, a hatred of sin and a love for others. Who do you say Jesus is?

In this week's sermon on Matthew 16:1-12, Ricky walks through Jesus's conversation with the Pharisees and the Sadducees when they demand a sign to prove himself. Jesus shows the Pharisees and Sadducees that they don't need a sign; they need a Savior. Then, he teaches his disciples to beware of false teachings. Your life is a sign that points to something—what does it show that you believe about Jesus?

This week, we returned to our series on Matthew with Ricky's sermon on Matthew 15:1-20. Ricky walks through Jesus's conversation with the Pharisees as he challenges their cultural influences on God's law. Jesus teaches that it is not what goes into our mouths that defiles us, but what comes out of our mouths, because out of the mouth comes the truth of our hearts. How do we allow culture to influence our beliefs more than God's Word? The answer is not to try and "spray paint" our lives, but to allow God's Holy Spirit to transform our hearts.

In this week's sermon from the "At the Table" series, Ricky walks through Luke 14 and asks the question: "Do we think about the Christian life as a cruise ship, or an expedition?" Jesus shares the parable about the large banquet, when the master invites the poor, maimed, blind and lame to his table. Ricky applies this to our own lives. Do we view our table as an opportunity for our own selfish gain, or do we view it as a means to invite someone new to God's table?

In this week's sermon from the "At the Table" series, Ricky walks us through John 21:1-17, in one of the scenes where Jesus reunites with his disciples after his resurrection. Jesus shows Peter (and us) that there is no shame or condemnation in a relationship with him. Jesus doesn't want our right actions; he wants a restored relationship with our hearts.
