The resurrection means we can experience new life IN CHRIST.

3 REPONSES FOR EXPERIENCING NEW LIFE:

1. STICK CLOSE to God.

2. SET YOUR HOPE on eternity.

3. STAY in Christian community.

Hebrews 9:11-15

Central Truth: The joy of the new covenant in God is a clear conscience and a relationship with God.

Two reasons why we may not be enjoying a clear conscience:

1. Holding onto the shame of past sins

2. Willful continuation of sin

Jeremiah 31:27-37

Four relational blessings from the new covenant:

1. God’s word works from the inside out as believers receive a new heart.

2. His unique and faithful presence in and among His people.

3. An authentic and personal experience with God.

4. Complete and total forgiveness of sins.

What God's covenant with David means for us:

1. God remains faithful to His promises even when His people are unfaithful in their promises.

2. Makes way for the reign of Jesus Christ.

3. The ultimate fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant thru Jesus secures, for all people by faith thru grace, the opportunity to be included as the people of God.

Psalms 57

Central Truth:

Remaining steadfast in waiting requires intentional focus.

1. Focus not on my abilities but on God’s power.

2. Focus not on my circumstances but instead on God’s sovereignty.

3. Focus not on my woes but on God’s praise.

Our adoption in Christ tells us we are chosen and cherished by God.

Our adoption in Christ should move us to reverence and awe of God.
