While on the earth, Jesus perfectly revealed God the Father's nature in every way because He was the exact image of God. In eternity past, God predestined us to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus. Therefore, as His sons and daughters, we also have a responsibility to reveal the Father to the world. 

You were created for glory – not just to bring glory to God, but to also carry His glory. This glory of God that is in you can be released in various ways, but there is a dimension of His glory that is only manifest through the difficult situations and circumstances of life. In the end, God uses these temporary afflictions to work on your behalf in producing an eternal weight of glory that is beyond all measure. 

You have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. That means that in addition to living God's kind of life right now, you can also live a life that is fully pleasing to Him. But what good is a promise that you don't know about?
