Maggie also critiques the Supreme Court's recent decisions affecting due process rights, warning of the potential implications of martial law under Trump. Senior Vice President of Inclusive Growth, Emily Gee joins Maggie this hour. Gee warns of economic chaos as Trump's tariff policies wreak havoc. With reciprocal tariffs looming, consumer costs are set to soar by $3,800 annually per household, threatening recession and stagflation. Despite Trump's claims, uncertainty reigns as markets wobble and experts predict worsening conditions. The tariffs, meant to bolster the economy, seem instead to line the pockets of the wealthy and destabilize global trade. As doubts about Trump's strategy grow, even former supporters express regret. Maggie dissects the chaos, urging listeners to question the rationale behind these economic upheavals.
