  • Broken Laws and Broken Promises (Hour 1)

Top Republicans still will not concede that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election. Now, they are readying to challenge the 2024 Presidential election if they don't like the outcome. In preparation, MAGA election officials are doing their best to limit voting access. In Thornapple, Wisconsin, election officials chose not to use the accessible voting machines mandated by the federal government. Because... they believe the last election was stolen with "the machines"... Yeah it didn't make sense to us either. You can listen to a phone interview with the Township Supervisor on the matter here.

Will Ragland, Vice President of Research Advocacy and Outreach at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, joins Maggie for the second half hour. Will and Maggie chop up Trump's broken promises. Yes there are a lot. For today, they're focusing on American manufacturing. Trump cost Wisconsin over 6000 manufacturing jobs. The Biden-Harris administration added about 15000 manufacturing jobs in Wisconsin. Compare the two administrations' investments in manufacturing, it speaks for itself. Gee whiz this is such a hard choice...

  • Mangled History, with Heather Cox Richardson (Hour 1)

Historian, professor, and prolific substack creator Heather Cox Richardson joins Maggie for another extremely special episode digging into how history informs the present. Today, she and Maggie tackle the staggering stakes of this cycle's presidential election. From an economy that works for all of us to the fate of democracy, it's all on the line. It seems every day brings new atrocities that should fully disqualify Trump from ever holding any office. Yet here we are, with this candidate remaining horrifically "viable". Thankfully, endorsements roll in each hour for Kamala Harris. She is the only candidate in this race with the experience and temperament to lead this nation. In a historic move, The Atlantic formally endorsed Harris this week. This marks only the 5th time in over 150 years that they have endorsed a candidate.

So what IS Trump's supposed economic policy? And what historical context do we have by which to judge it? Tune in for an engaging conversation!

  • Responsibility Hour 2)

Whose responsibility is it to make sure that this country thrives and works for as many of us as possible? Well, it belongs to all of us. And especially to those who would deign to create the laws by which we all must live. Dr. Kristin Lyerly, licensed and practicing OB/GYN and candidate for Wisconsin's 8th Congressional District, joins Maggie to dig into this topic. Dr. Lyerly published an op-ed in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel outlined her plan to enact sensible legislation to support Wisconsinites. Taking care of each other and building community- it does us all a lot of good!

Ryan Grim is an accomplished DC reporter and co-founder of Drop Site News. He joins Maggie for a chat on common sense economic changes.

  • What’s at stake? Damn near everything. (Hour 1)

Maggie starts off the show with a little light sports banter and bagging on athletes who've spurned Milwaukee. Then, it's down to business.

Former US Attorney General under President Barack Obama, Eric Holder, joins Maggie to talk voting rights and the stakes imposed by Project 2025. Sure, Trump says he won't implement p2025... He also chose the Heritage Foundation's protégé, JD Vance for a running mate. So let's take what he says with an enormous grain of salt.

Then, it sure sounds like change! Sara Spain, Director of Strategic Communications at EMILYs List joins Maggie. Young women between the ages of 18-45 show an overwhelming favoritism for the Harris-Walz ticket. Sara and Maggie dig into why young women support Kamala Harris so overwhelmingly. Support for Harris won't be enough though, y'all. We need to carry that momentum to candidates up and down the ballot to elect legislators who will protect reproductive and sexual health for all of us. Please, make sure to check your voter registration status and all that will be on your ballot. Make a plan and vote. It's your voice, your right, and your responsibility.
