  • How (Not) To Make Money In Elected Office (Hour 1)

Should elected officials resign if they're under indictment? Friend of the show Tom Palzewicz strongly believes that they should. New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been federally indicted for accusations of bribery. Maggie and Tom take your calls on the ethics of the ways politicians make money.

After that discussion, Maggie and Tom walk through the dangers of isolationism. Donald Trump's "America first" agenda carries tremendous risks.

  • Get Involved, Get Cooking, Get Together (Hour 1)

At the top of the hour, we need to take time to talk about abortion. Leaving individual states to make decisions about abortion has caused incredible harm. Amari Marsh was jailed unjustly for 22 days after a miscarriage in South Carolina. Two women in Georgia have died from preventable complications relating to abortion restrictions. Now, the Catholic Church is entering the legal arguments surrounding abortion. The Colorado based Catholic Benefits Association sued the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in order to allow discrimination on the basis of fertility and pregnancy. What. The. Hell. You can get involved in this by calling- respectfully- and voicing your opinion. Call Judge Traynor, who issued an injunction in favor of the Church, at 701-530-2360. Call Bishop Cary and Bishop Listecki who brought the case at 541-388-4004 and 414-769-3300 respectively.

Switching gears rather dramatically, we turn to Chef Adam Pawlak for our regular Tuesday 2:30 segment Yes, Chef! This week, Maggie and Chef Adam talk about Balling on a Budget- how to entertain guests without breaking the bank.

  • Staggering Disparity (Hour 2)

In the top of the hour, Maggie talks money with Nabil Ahmed and Scott Elliss. Nabil Ahmed is the Director of Economic and Racial Justice at Oxfam, America. He has authored and co-authored Oxfam reports, including “Inequality Kills” and “Inequality Inc.” Nabil, Scott, and Maggie talk about the newest report out of Oxfam on extreme wealth inequality.

For the second half hour, Maggie chops it up with Dom Salvia. They continue the discussion of enormous wealth disparity, moving the discussion to candidates for US Senator representing Wisconsin. Whereas Eric Hovde has demanded that his opponent, Senator Tammy Baldwin must release her partner's clients' financial records, he's been astoundingly shy about his own personal records. He's been shady on his involvement with troubled Mexican banks, as reported this past Thursday.
