The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have trapped civilians inside the city and are allegedly carrying out mass atrocities. The seizure of El Fasher, the last army stronghold in the Darfur region, followed an 18-month siege that cut off food, medicine, and escape routes.
