Author and historian Mark Zuehlke has just released the thirteenth volume in his critically-acclaimed "Canadian Battle Series," the most extensive published account of the WWII battle experiences of Canada's army. The new book, set to hit shelves Nov. 9, is called "The River Battles: Canada's Final Campaign in World War II Italy." The book tells the story of I Canadian Corps' difficult crossing of the Emilia-Rogmoanga plain from September, 1944 to February, 1945 and the difficult battles for the many river crossings in the face of stiff resistance. Zuehlke joins John now to discuss the book and one of Canada's less-known campaigns of WWII.
