Last Thursday, we spent two hours letting our listeners predict which party they thought would win, and how many seats they would end up with. Now that we've got the results, let's find out who had the most accurate predictions! The Liberals took 157 seats, falling 13 seats short of the 170 needed for a majority. Garnett in Regina was our winner, as he predicted a Liberal win and 160 seats.

In the leadup to the federal election, Prof. Greg Poelzer, a U of S political scientist, predicted the NDP might be the big losers in this election and said they might even lose their official party status. Poelzer joins John to discuss the NDP's results, and what we can expect from each of the parties in the coming days. Plus, Saskatchewan lawyer Evatt Merchant represented the Liberals during our weekly panel discussions leading up to last night's election, and he joins John now to discuss the Liberal win, and his thoughts on how Trudeau will approach a second term in a minority government.
