The Regina Public Schools board drew anger from the LGBT community last week, when it voted down a motion brought forward by Trustee Aleana Young. The motion, which was defeated 4-3, called for the school division to "recognize and support" Pride Week in schools, and fly the rainbow Pride flag for a week in June. Board Chair Katherine Gagne has become the target of a huge amount of online harassment, but says she voted against the motion simply because the wording was unclear. She joins Gormley now to discuss the reaction to the vote and what the next steps are for the board.
