Toronto Sun Columnist Brian Lilley says we all want to avoid seeing fake news and hate speech on social media, but he's concerned that the Liberals would go further than that when regulating Facebook and other social media companies if they're re-elected. Recently, a Sun column by Mark Bonokowski was labelled "false" on Facebook despite including statements from all sides, and Lilley says it's happening due to a push by the Liberals. He says we should all be worried when the government can dictate what's said online, and he joins John now to discuss his concerns.

All six federal leaders squared off again last night in the French language debate, the last debate before Canadians head to the polls on Oct. 21. The debate Thursday night was more subdued than the highly-combative English debate held on Monday, but that doesn't mean the sparks weren't flying as the leaders compared policies on pipelines, climate change, Indigenous issues, and more. To help break down the winners and losers of the debate, John is joined by David Akin, chief political correspondent for Global News.
