Saskatoon Public Libraries have proposed a plan for a new library downtown. Their proposal would replace the Frances Morrison Library. The new building is estimated to cost $154 million and finish in 2026. Lisa Erickson, the Board Chair of Saskatoon Public Libraries, joins Brent to discuss the details of the plan and why she thinks Saskatoon needs a new library.

SaskPower is rolling back its net metering program. In its current state, the program lets people producing their own power via solar receive a credit if they create more power than they take from the grid. However, it will soon reach its capacity of electricity, so SaskPower isn't taking any new applications for now. Joel Cherry, the SaskPower spokesperson, joins Brent to discuss the status of net metering.
