In his new book "Breakdown: The Pipeline Debate and the Threat to Canada's Future," author and former pipeline executive Dennis McConaghy argues that the pipeline debate is crucially important to our nation's future. McConaghy says the debate often gets ugly, pitting provinces, regions, and different levels of government against each other. He says the debate "has created tremendous uncertainty in Canada's largest export sector," and has sucked billions out of our economy, not to mention stoking the fires of western separatism. McConaghy joins John now to discuss the pipeline debate in Canada and what needs to happen for the pipelines to be built.
