  • GORMLEY- BEAR SPRAY- AUGUST 22, 2019
Bear spray is commonly seen in the hands of two groups of people - those venturing into the wilderness for camping and hiking, and criminals who use the spray to attack people. Saskatoon recently saw three criminal bear spray incidents over 24 hours, and recent incidents there include a 12-year-old arrested for bear-spraying a family and one incident where bullets were fired through the window of a home before bear spray was sprayed through the bullet holes. Mike Couros thinks bear spray should be banned, because we only ever hear about it being used on innocent people and not on bears. Producer Taylor disagrees, saying it should be difficult to buy but its legitimate uses are important for anyone venturing into bear country. Who do you agree with?
