Regina resident Daniel Nikoi, who has lived in Canada for 11 years as a permanent resident originally from Ghana, was charged $119 for a residency renewal form from a scam website designed to look like an official Government of Canada page. After submitting the form to Immigration Canada, he discovered that the website he had paid was not affiliated with the government in any way, and the actual fee is only $50. He's been unable to get his money back because the scam website makes it very difficult to get in contact, and says he's worried these scam sites are raking in money from unsuspecting immigrants. Nikoi joins John now to discuss his experience.
