CJSR's The Laughing Face

Jamie and Aaron play songs about the music industry (mainly songs that aren't very happy with the music industry) including Ani DiFranco, Immortal Technique, the Sex Pistols, and MC Frontalot.

Jamie and Jenn play songs that remind them of the past, including Butt Trumpet, Wesley Willis, Flossie and the Unicorns, and more.

Jamie and Steph J play all songs with banjos in them. Lots of folk, a bit of country and alternative, the theme to Beverly Hillbillies for the nostalgia...

Jamie and Angie play songs about inanimate objects. Some are from the point of view of the inanimate object (eg. the moon of Pluto), some are about really loving the inanimate object (eg. a shirt), and some are titled after the inanimate object (eg. a Rubiks Cube).

Jamie and Anick play really varied covers of classic jazz standards, including alternative emo rock, ukulele, gypsy jazz, bossa nova, French RnB, etc.

The Laughing Face kicks off the new year with Jamie's favorite songs played in 2012.

Jamie plays lots of fun and unique holiday songs.

Jamie and Angie play songs about skiing, skating, snowball fights, and other winter fun.

In honour of Chanukah, Jamie and Vivian play nothing but Jewish artists, from different countries, in different languages, in lots of different styles.

Jamie and Anne (Jamie's mom) play songs about confronting various fears, like stage fright, fear of growing old, and fear of commitment.
