A Chatham man has lost his appeal to get his dogs back after they were taken away by Pet and Wildlife Rescue inspectors and Chatham-Kent police, a Walpole Island resident was guided to safety with the help of OPP early this morning after they got lost in the woods, and Chatham-Kent police are putting out another warning to the public about a phone-based scam that continues to make the rounds.

The Wheatley Water Treatment Plant is expected to be down for a year after a fire there a week ago damaged some specialized equipment, Chatham-Kent police and the local Children's Aid Society are getting a boost from the province for some more training and to raise awareness about the support that's available for victims and witnesses, and another Conservative MPP has resigned from Premier Doug Ford's cabinet over the Greenbelt scandal.
